Fill sand with a higher level of clay
Commonly used as fill in trenches under culverts and drain pipes – high clay content.
This soil is good for filling large holes, backfilling walls, and regrading. This is not a good soil to grow grass on, but can be covered with a couple inches of screened topsoil or garden mix to grow grass/plants.
